about

It was one of those days when you get lost in an old hard drive...Mostly things you can no longer fathom why you kept hold of it. Reams of audio samples you obsessively downloaded without any real intention or clue of how to use...but occasionally...just every now and again you find a set of files that take you back to wondrous place.

Hearing music you made, but forgot about, that isn't... well... total garbage. It's an odd feeling, listening to something with such a level of distance and objectivity it feels like it's from someone else.

These tracks are at least 6 years old when I write this, maybe a bit longer. I'd spent a few years messing with some electro-y band, we did some tours, lost a member, gained another one, changed the name and essentially started all over again (not that THAT much had been achieved let's be honest)... I was the music maker for a "front guy" and had collected a nice ensemble of soft synths, plug-ins and samples and felt that a solid 'sound' was emerging... We never got the vibe back and drifted apart but these tracks were left behind and I tightened them and made them more sample/dance based than had intentioned. Mixed them down, stuck them on a hard drive, put the hard drive in a cupboard and forgot all about them... until now.... when I decided to polish them up and use them as an "Album"...bandcamp free shit for your listening pleasure folk what's to complain about.

If you do stumble across this - coz I sure as shit haven't the time/energy to do anything close to promotion - I appreciate your time and I hope you don't feel it's wasted.

Here's to resurrecting the archives, to found lost sounds, to a creative world where people can free to be happy.
